André Hawaux ‘92 had just relocated from New York to Derry, N.H., for his job in mid-level management for PepsiCo, and was in search of an M.B.A. program that fit his busy schedule.
"I was working long hours, commuting back and forth across the border every day for work, and my wife was expecting our first child. SNHU had everything I was looking for: classes held at nights and on weekends, a rich academic focus with faculty that did more than teach, and classmates who were in the same situation as I was – working hard every day and going to school at night to earn an advanced degree."
The value of a getting a solid education and working hard was instilled in André at a very young age. André was the first member of his family of Belgian immigrants to attend college.
"Being an only child and an immigrant, achieving a secondary education and excelling in my career were accomplishments my family took very seriously – as did I,” he says. “SNHU’s M.B.A. program provided a quality education with tremendous value. I was able to learn from both the professors and my classmates -- all of whom had great life and work experiences."
After more than 25 years with PepsiCo where he rose to chief financial officer for Pepsi-Cola North America, Andre is now president of Consumer Foods for ConAgra Foods in Omaha, Neb.
