Focus your interest in history and social studies into a teaching career with Southern New Hampshire University’s Bachelor of Arts program in secondary education. The program leads to New Hampshire certification for teaching Social Studies in grades five through 12, which is reciprocal in most states.

You will graduate with deep understanding of history and social studies while meeting all state requirements for teacher certification. Graduates are well-qualified and have an edge when seeking teaching positions.

We emphasize real-world experience at SNHU. Here you won’t have to wait until senior year to get into a classroom. Our students begin working – not just observing -- in real classrooms first semester, freshman year.
