SNHU Welcomes Record Freshman Class
To First Days Schedule

Manchester, N.H. (Sept. 5 2010) – Southern New Hampshire University welcomed a record 980 new freshmen to campus during Orientation, which began Sept. 5.

The university undergraduate day population represents all six New England states and New York and New Jersey. The university also will welcome an estimated 40 international undergraduate students from such countries as Saudi Arabia, China, Mongolia, Vietnam and Congo.

 
 

Below are some highlights from this week's events; a full Orientation schedule.

First Day Schedule Highlights

Sunday, Sept. 5

9 a.m., students check in, pick up keys and schedules and begin moving into residence halls.

3:30 p.m. President’s Welcome for Families

4 p.m., New Student Convocation and BBQ

6 p.m., Dinner: Welcome BBQ, Student Center Pub Patio

Monday, Sept. 6

Various administrative activities, such as ID pickup, in a.m.

11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Brunch, Dining Center

8 p.m. – 8 is Never Enough, improvisation group


Tuesday, Sept. 7

2 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. – Student Job Fair

9 p.m. – Drive-in movie, Larkin Field, “Get Him to the Greek”


Wednesday, Sept. 8
