SNHU Students Featured in Edible Boston Magazine

SNHU students who are alums of the Future Chefs program, a privately-funded, school-to-career program working with high school culinary arts students in the Greater Boston area, were recently featured in the Edible Boston Magazine. About 80% of Future Chefs high school students go on to postsecondary schools, such as Southern New Hampshire University. Some students go directly into work in the field.

Two SNHU students, Junior Aquila Collins and Freshman Paige Hickey, were featured on the cover Edible Boston Magazine. In the 11th grade, Collins was introduced to Future Chefs by a baking instructor. Under Future Chefs' counsel and direction, Collins sharpened her culinary skills and entered a competition at her school judged by Boston-area chefs. Collins not only won a scholarship to Culinary Boot Camp at Monroe College in New York, but also received a scholarship from Future Chefs to attend SNHU, where she is currently working towards earning a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration.
