First Day’s

We look forward to welcoming you to campus for First Day’s.  This program begins on Sunday, September 2, 2012 with all new students checking in at the Athletic Complex-Field House Lobby (Orientation Leaders will be there to get you to the right place on campus...)

  • Resident Students are asked to start arriving at 9am.  We also are suggesting that if you are coming from a distance, that you might want to check-in a little later in the morning in order to avoid the rush.
  • Commuter Students should start to check-in at 2:30pm in order to be here in time for the Orientation Group Meetings, which start at 3pm.

A detailed schedule of First Day’s will be available at http://my.SNHU.edu

After moving/checking in there will be a Family Welcome and Send-Off Reception, which starts at 3pm in the Athletic Complex-Field House.  Parents, this is the point in the day where you should give your daughter/son a hug before they go off with their Orientation Groups.  After the Family Send-Off Reception we ask that families exit the campus.

New student orientation focuses on the social, academic, and personal transition issues that all new students face when going to college.  We coordinate a Spring Orientation for Undergraduate Day students entering in January, a Summer Orientation for our class entering in September, and First Days, which is held Labor Day weekend each year.
