SNHU Software

Overview/Appropriate Use:

Southern New Hampshire licenses the use of a wide variety of software products to ensure the effective operation of the university's academic and business operations. It is the responsibility of the Instructional Support team to manage these licenses and ensure the appropriate use and distribution of software.

It is incumbent upon all members of the campus community to practice the ethical and legal use of computer software. Illegal copying and distribution of software will not be tolerated and could result in severe penalties for the individual and/or university. Faculty and staff should not load software on their computers that is not purchased or licensed by the university. Likewise, they should not violate licensing agreements by loading software on more computers than the product is licensed for.

At the current time all software must be purchased through Computing Resources / Instructional Support and must be installed by Computing Resources / Instructional Support staff.

Purchasing / Requesting Software:

While SNHU maintains a large number of licensed titles, many are available for use by selected audiences only and/or only a certain number of licenses are available. If you are interested in receiving a certain piece of software to use for SNHU related activities, please contact Aaron Flint for details. If the software is not currently available it is possible for it to be purchased but your school or department may be responsible for the cost.

Instructional Support maintains an ever changing catalog of software titles used for academic or administrative purposes.  This software may be installed on university-owned PCs and laptops only unless noted below.

This page lists commonly used software as well as special personal use purchasing programs available to faculty, staff, and students, it does not list all software available.

Please direct any questions about software availability/purchasing/licensing to Aaron Flint at a.flint@snhu.edu.
