May 14, 2008 Blackboard Technical Issues Blackboard servers had technical difficulties last evening at aroud 8:10pm. ASP Engineers corrected the problem that prevented the site from operating properly at 8:34pm EST. Service was restored to normal at that time.
April 10, 2008 Blackboard Technical Issues At 8:50am SNHU identified that Blackboard is currently having technical difficulties. The issues are preventing the site from operating properly. We are currently working on the situation and should have the problem resolved as soon as possible. Update: As of 8:57 EST Blackboard Engineers had corrected the problem and restored normal service to the Blackboard system.
March 28, 2008 Datatel System UI and Penpal experienced session freezing around 11:30am today. Both were frozen for less than 10 minutes. Although it is uncertain what caused the freeze, a stop on the DMI listeners freed the sessions. Most users saw the system come back and were able to continue working, but users who may have used Windows task manager to close their session were required to log back in.

We are attempting to resolve the situation at this time, noted as 1:44pm. At 1:49 EST we were notified that Blackboard Engineers have corrected the problem.
March 3, 2008 Blackboard Technical Issues The Blackboard experienced technical difficulties which prevented the site from operating properly at about 3:52pm today. ASP Engineers worked on the situation and had the problem resolved at 3:59pm.
February 22, 2008 Informer Login Issues The Informer login page was hanging after entering a user name and password. A reboot of the informer server was performed and old sessions were eliminated in order to bring the system back online.
February 21, 2008 Blackboard Restart Blackboard needed to perform a reset of services, which resulted in a 5 minute lapse in services at approximately 11:11am. The system came back online as expected.
February 15, 2008 Datatel Login Most login attempts to Datatel server this morning were unsuccessful. A reboot of the server was done at about 8:20am, which restored service and allowed normal login to Datatel. It was later determined that the problem was a result of Datatel changing how patches are applied.
February 14, 2008 PenPal Login Reports of PenPal login failing were received Tuesday evening between 5:30 – 6:10pm. Technicians researched the problem, and service was restored by replacing files for the login process. More research is needed to discover the reason for the outage.
February 12, 2008 RedDot CMS Server The RedDot CMS Server was unavailable at 8:05am. Technicians researched the issue, and service was restored by rebooting the server at 9:15am.
February 11, 2008 Blackboard Technical Issues The Blackboard site is currently experiencing technical difficulties which are preventing the site from operating properly. We are attempting to resolve the situation at this time, noted as 10:50am.
At 11am, more information was received on this subject. One of Blackboards Major Internet providers in the DC area is having issues and SNHU and 11 other schools are unable to access their systems at this time. We currently have no estimate on the outage, nor is it in the control of SNHU or Blackboard. We will post updates as they become available.
Update: Blackboard's Internet provider was able to restore Access, and as a result, service to Blackboard was restored just before 1pm EST.
February 6, 2008 Network Switch Issue The SNHU Network went down causing an interruption of many services at about 8:35am. The switch was brought back up after about 5 minutes, and services were then brought back online. There were also two additional network interruptions today, each outage lasted 5 to 10 minutes, and services were again restored. Technicians are trying to determine the reason for the sporadic interruption of service.
February 6, 2008 Blackboard Blackboard experienced technical difficulties at about 7:46pm last night, which prevented the site from operating properly. ASP Engineers worked on the situation and did resolve the problem at about 8:30pm on February 5th. All services have been restored normal.
February 5, 2008 Datatel and PenPal We are currently aware of an issue involving Datatel and PenPal, and will be rebooting the server. Those with an open session were asked to log off so the reboot could be performed at about 2:55pm. The process is expected to take up to a half hour. Update: Service was restored at 3:10pm.
February 1, 2008 SNHU Website Down Due to Search Engine Issues The SNHU website was re-booted 2 times today, causing the server to be unavailable for less than 2 minutes each time. The first occurrence at 12:06pm attempted to address search engine issues. As the first attempt did not correct the issues, several files were restored, and a second reboot was performed at 2:15pm. The search engine appears to be working properly at this time.
January 24, 2008 Blackboard Technical Issues Blackboard is currently having technical difficulties which are preventing the site from operating properly. We have our ASP Engineers working on the situation at this time, noted as 3:54pm, and hope to have the problem resolved soon.
Update: As of 4:19 pm today Blackboard Engineers have corrected the problem and have restored normal service to the Blackboard system.

January 15, 2008 Blackboard Technical Issues The Blackboard team alerted us to a problem with Blackboard system which is preventing the site from operating properly. This alert was received approximately 7:50pm on January 14, 2008, however we are hearing login problems yesterday as early as 11:00am. After 11:00pm on January 14, Blackboard still could not find the cause of the problem, and estimated that the system would be offline for at least the next 12 hours. At 8:30am today SNHU technicians insisted that the issue be escalated as Blackboard has been unavailable for approximately 24 hours. By 9:29am today Blackboard reported that the system is back online, and SNHU is currently trying to get information from Blackboard as to steps resulting in better stability. It is possible that we may experience downtime to correct all the issues. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
