E-mail Instructions

Your SNHU e-mail address provides you access to more than just e-mail. Your e-mail is also your username for several online systems and services that let you check e-mail, class assignments, emergency notifications, check out resources from the library, register for classes, check your grades, pay your bills and more.

What do you want to do?

Your SNHU e-mail address & password are in the following format

  • Full first name, followed by a dot, followed by your full last name and @snhu.edu (all lowercase)
For example, if your name is John Bailey, your e-mail address/username would be john.bailey@snhu.edu
  • If you have a common first and last name where duplicate e-mail addresses may occur, visit the Computing Resources Department with your student ID to receive your e-mail address.
  • Your e-mail address is also your username. A username is required to sign into the e-mail system.
  • Your initial e-mail password is your birthday in the following format: MMDDYYYY. For example, if your birthday is Aug. 25, 1972, your e-mail password is 08251972.
  • SNHU Strongly Recommends you change your password immediately to protect your own privacy and use of your account (see instructions below).
  • If SNHU does not have your birthday on file, you will need to visit the Computing Resources Department with your student ID to receive your e-mail password.
