- Student; Online (Military)

Master Sgt. Tracy Tackling can’t say enough about the SNHU admissions office.
"I placed the call and everybody was overwhelmingly helpful. They really took care of me, got me started quickly," he says.
Tracy, who has served in the Air Force for more than 18 years, is a student in the MBA finance program. When he retires from the military, he wants to work in civil service or the corporate world.
"Education provides you with options," he says.
In classes such as Multinational Corporate Environment, Tracy has the opportunity to share his military background.
“I’ve lived overseas. I’ve been deployed overseas. And I can use those life experiences in discussions, carry them over to bring some perspective,” he says.
He appreciates the flexibility of taking courses online, which allows him to fit his studies into a busy life.
“I have a family, a wife who’s a nurse, three kids,” he says. “I study on lunch breaks, after I tuck the kids in, early in the morning before everyone gets up. I do my homework (and) study when it’s convenient.”
It's not only flexibility and convenience that make the difference. Equally important is having an academic advisor, Tracy says.
"I didn't have that before, somebody assigned to me that I knew, right up front, if I had any questions, I could go to," he says.
