Psi Chi (Psychology Honor Society)

Psi Chi is the national honor society in psychology, founded for the purpose of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology.  Psi Chi serves two major goals: the first goal is the society's obligation to provide academic recognition to its inductees for excellence in their scholarship within the area of psychology.  The second goal is the obligation of each of the society's local chapters to nurture the spark of that accomplishment by offering a climate congenial to its creative development.

Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Psychological Society (APS).

Membership in Psi Chi is open to psychology majors who have completed three semesters of the college coursework, who have completed nine semester hours of psychology and have earned a psychology GPA of 3.0 and above, and an overall GPA of 3.0 or above.
