The Perkins Loan is a federally-subsidized (no interest while in school), fixed low interest (5%) loan that is offered to full-time undergraduate day students. Repayment begins nine months after the student ceases to be enrolled at least half-time. Full disclosure of the terms of the loan is provided on the promissory note. You are only required to sign the Perkins MPN once.
New SNHU Borrowers: Your Federal Perkins Master Promissory Note (MPN) will be available to sign online via the Perkins Loan E-Sign after August 1, 2010. You can visit and log into ECSI's website at https://www.ecsi.net/prom2K to sign your MPN.
Your electronic promissory note will be reviewed by the Southern New Hampshire University Financial Aid Office before any loan funds are disbursed. If there are any issues, you will be notified by either an email and/or a letter.
