Burt Reynolds - Associate Professor


Dr. Burt Reynolds is an assistant professor of organizational leadership at SNHU. Reynolds is responsible for curriculum design and delivery, both in continuing education and distance education programs. His courses include strategic management, organizational behavior, creative decision-making and executive leadership.

Reynolds received a Bachelor of Science degree from Golden Gate University, a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Organization Development from Golden Gate and a doctorate degree in Human Resource Education at Boston University School of Education.

Charlotte Broaden - Professor


Dr. Broaden is currently a professor of International Business and Organizational Leadership at Southern New Hampshire University. She received her doctorate in International Business, with a concentration in International Finance.  Her current research focus is in the area of small business development and foreign direct investment on a global basis. She is particularly interested in FDI to African nations and has recently published in this area.  She is also interesting in the shifting patterns of FDI within emerging markets and the re-shoring of FDI by manufacturing firms.

Prior to her academic career, Dr. Broaden worked in a number of multinational firms where she was an executive managing international human resource activities as well as being a member of the company's strategic management team.  In her last assignment she lived in Toronto Canada for three years and managed operations in Canada and France.  A key assignment was talent management and Dr. Broaden was responsible for recruiting and placing global talent. 

Dr. Broaden holds the Certified Global Business Professional designation from NASBITE International , which is the qualification in Global Commerce and she is a member of the Foreign Direct Investment Association. She is a member of numerous trade and professional groups in her field.

Jonathan Posner - Lecturer

Dr. Jonathan Posner, an adjunct instructor at SNHU for over 30 years, is a lecturer of organizational leadership. Posner previously served as the Senior Benefits Administrator at Lahey Clinic.

Courses taught include Social Environment of Business, Strategic Management and Policy, Strategic Human Resource Management and Responsible Corporate Leadership.

Posner received his Bachelor of Arts in Government from Boston University, his Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver, and his Doctor of Law from Suffolk University Law School.

Katherine McQuade - Assistant Professor


Dr. Katherine McQuade joined SNHU as an assistant professor of organizational leadership in 2014. Prior to SNHU, McQuade worked as an adjunct professor at Norwich University and served as the Director of Marketing at NRG Systems.

Publications include McQuade’s dissertation, "The Type of Leadership Needed for Organizations Focused on Environmental Sustainability: A Qualitative Case Study."

McQuade received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Boston University, her Master of Business Administration from Rivier College and her Doctor of Philosophy in Organization and Management from Capella University, School of Business and Technology, Minneapolis, MN.

Lowell C. Matthews - Assistant Professor


Dr. Lowell ''Chris'' Matthews joined SNHU in 2012 as an assistant professor of Organizational Leadership. Prior to SNHU, Matthews served as the director of fundraising events for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and as an adjunct professor at Roosevelt University. He brings with him an extensive background in global management and leadership strategies. Matthews’ research interests include organizational culture, international merges and acquisitions and global leadership practices.

Matthews completed his Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management at the University of Delaware, his Master of Business Administration at Roosevelt University and his Doctorate of Business Administration from Argosy University.

Matthews has numerous presentations and publications including most recently Matthews, L. (2012), ''The Impact of Globalization on Cross-Cultural Communication, Globalization - Education and Management Agendas,'' Hector Cuadra-Montiel (Ed.).

He serves as president of the International Academy of Student Development, dedicated to connecting international students to academic and career opportunities in the United States and is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Blacks in Development and Latinos in Development.

Matthews currently volunteers as a ''Big Brother'' for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Manchester. He is also serves as the RLC Advisor for Straight Edge at SNHU.

Maria Painchaud - Associate Professor, Co-Dept Chair


Dr. Maria Painchaud joined SNHU in 1991 and is an adjunct professor in the graduate programs specializing in marketing strategies, marketing of nonprofit organizations and leading and managing nonprofit organizations.

In 2003, Painchaud became an assistant professor of Organizational Leadership, specializing in the following courses: principles of management, human resource strategy and development, strategic management, total rewards systems, strategic human resource management, and leading and managing nonprofit organizations. She also provides management consulting focusing on strategic management, succession planning, leading and managing change, and human resources management and development for area nonprofit and for-profit entities.

Painchaud earned her Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Parks Administration from the University of New Hampshire, her Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Franklin Pierce College, her Master in Business Administration with a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from New Hampshire College, her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Educational Leadership from Plymouth State University and her Doctorate in Education in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University / Sarasota.

She has been the recipient of many awards and recognitions for her contributions to the community and in the human resource field including the 2004 New Hampshire HR Hero Award at the Granite State HR Conference. She holds SPHR certification and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and the Human Resource Association of Greater Concord.

Painchaud has given numerous presentations. Her current research includes the effects of integrating applied management/applied learning in Business Curriculum.

Steven Booth - Associate Professor


Steven Booth, J.D, has been an assistant professor of Business Law at SNHU since 2003. He is also an associate attorney at Soltani Law Office.

Booth is the faculty advisor for the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society and the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was chosen as Advisor of the Year in 2007.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Franklin Pierce College in 1990 and his Juris Doctor degree in law from Ohio Northern University in 1993.

Booth is a member of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business, the NH Bar Association and the VA Bar Association.

Steven R. Painchaud - Professor


Dr. Steven Painchaud, professor of organizational leadership for SNHU's School of Business, has over 25 years of teaching, management and consulting experience. He teaches in the areas of strategic management, social environment, human resource management, business trends, organization behavior and human relations. Painchaud provides consulting services to for-profit and nonprofit organizations and focuses on strategic management, trend analysis, human resources and supervisory training.

Painchaud was awarded the prestigious Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs Teaching Excellence Award in 2008. The international recipient is selected for outstanding leadership and service in business education.

Painchaud received his Bachelor of Arts in English from St. Joseph's College, his Master of Science in Education from the University of Southern Maine, and his Doctor in Education in Higher Education Administration from Boston College. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and his professional membership includes the Society for Human Resource Management .

At SNHU, Painchaud is a member of the School of Business Three-Year Honors Program Steering Committee and the University's General Education Committee. In 2012, he co-authored the book ''Saving Higher Education: The Integrated, Competency-Based Three-Year Bachelor’s Degree Program,'' which focuses on curriculum innovation and cost containment in higher education.

Painchaud is active in his community, currently serving as a trustee and chair of the board for the Capital Region Food Program, an all-volunteer organization seeking to reduce hunger in the greater Concord, N.H. area, that he has been providing leadership to for over twenty-five years.

Susan Losapio - Associate Professor, Co-Dept Chair


Dr. Susan Losapio, an associate professor in the School of Business, received her Bachelor of Science in Management from Plymouth State College in 1983, her Master of Science in Organizational Management from Antioch New England Graduate School in 1999 and her Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Management and Decision Sciences from Walden University in 2012. Susan has owned Losapio Training & Consulting since 1994. 

Presentations include Losapio, S. (Presenter Only),''Powerful Presentations,'' ''Leading for Performance." Managing at UNH, Durham, NH. (2009). Research in progress, "Women-owned Small Businesses in the Service Industry."

At SNHU, Losapio is the point person for the School of Business and School of Education, the program coordinator for the Small Business Management concentration and the Organizational Behavior courses.

Losapio was the SBA Women in Business Advocate of the Year, Women's Business Center in 2003. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for Women’s Business Advancement.


William Gillett - Dean of School of Business


William Gillett, J.D., came to SNHU in 2010 after spending the first 25 years of his career in international business and the law. Immediately prior to joining SNHU, Gillett served as president of RiverStone Resources, an international insurance and reinsurance organization specializing in the management of large, long-tail liabilities, where he was responsible for its overall strategic direction and new business acquisitions. Gillett brings a wealth of business and international partnerships, many formed as managing director for RiverStone’s European division.

Gillett holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School.

Gillett is also an active participant in New Hampshire's business and philanthropic communities including New Hampshire Public Radio, the International Institute of New England, the New Hampshire High Technology Council and the New Hampshire Writers' Project.
