The Best 2013 Super Bowl Ads

We asked Dr. Pat Spirou, chair of SNHU's on-campus and online advertising degree programs, once again to choose the five best Super Bowl ads of 2013 and Super Bowls past.

"It's not a surprise that Bud, yet again, has made the top five," Spirou says. “The Go Daddy ad with the girl kissing the geek got mixed reviews, so it's not nationally ranked. That is also no surprise as Go Daddy does ads each year that ‘confuse’ its audience."

1. Viva Young – Taco Bell
2. Whisper Fight – Oreo
3. The Next Big Thing – Samsung Mobile USA
4. The Clydesdales: Brotherhood – Budweiser
5. Farmer – Ram Trucks

"Choosing the top five Super Bowl ads of all time is difficult, as there are many categories to choose from: the funniest, the most creative, etc. And there are many sources–ads that the advertising industry felt were the best, and then the ads that consumers thought were the best," says Spirou. "But there are several ads that appear on everyone's list:"

Budweiser Beer 1995: The original Budweiser frogs

Coca-Cola 1975: Mean Joe Green

Wendy’s 1984: Where’s the Beef?

Apple Macintosh Computers: 1984

Bud Light 2007: Rock, Paper and Scissors
