Tanzania Admission Requirements
Admissions requirements are the same for the Tanzania M.S. in CED program as they are for the U.S.-based programs, with the addition of the following:
- Applicants must have a first degree or bachelor’s degree – please submit official transcripts
- A sponsorship letter from an institution
- Current involvement in an ongoing community economic development project
- A completed OUT Application Form

The CED program is able to accept a limited number of students who do not hold bachelor’s degrees. Such applicants must go through a more rigorous and extensive application process.
All students must maintain a 3.0 GPA to remain in good standing while in the program. In order to graduate, students must complete 36 credits at the Open University of Tanzania with a 3.0 GPA. Students must also complete the applicable required courses and the projects.
