It is my pleasure to welcome and introduce you to the School of Business of Southern New Hampshire University.

Founded in 1932, our university was built on programs in business administration designed to prepare students for a careers in business related professions. Today, the School of Business carries on that tradition of preparing students for professional positions in today's dynamic and technology enriched environment.

The 60 full-time faculty members in the business school, all doctorally or professionally-qualified, are focused on offering a competency- based course of study. While teaching is our primary focus, our faculty remains current in their disciplines by pursuing programs of scholarship that includes developing teaching methodology, pursuing practical applications of business theory, and conducting traditional disciplined based research. These faculty development activities translate into a powerful business education for our students.

The business school offers a full range of degree programs at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level. An undergraduate student has the choice of 15 majors in the School of Business, which may be combined with minors drawn from the business as well as the liberal arts curriculum. All of our programs incorporate cutting edge technology as part of the learning process.

Of special interest is our "Three Year" Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Program. The program, which is completed in 6 academic semesters, provides a competency-based, interdisciplinary educational environment, and integrates state of the art technology into the learning process. This innovative program was developed under a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

At the masters' level, students enroll in our Master of Business Administration, perhaps adding a certificate in one of our 17 specialties to meet their professional needs. Our discipline based Master of Science programs in Accounting, Business Education, Finance, Information Technology, International Business, Hospitality (offered jointly with the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Management), or Sport Management offer greater focus to graduate studies, and may also be combined with a graduate certificate.

SNHU's School of Business also offers the Doctor of Business Administration in International Business, making it the only university in northern New England to offer global business studies at the Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels.

With an enthusiastic, highly qualified faculty, cutting edge technology, contemporary business programs and modern academic facilities, we have an exciting educational environment at the School of Business. I look forward to the opportunity to share the excitement with you.
