Shapiro Library Periodical List
This is an alphabetical listing of the periodical holdings subscribed to by the Shapiro Library. The titles listed include: magazines, journals, newspapers, indexes, and serials as well as the full-text periodicals available via "InfoTrac", an online database accessible to currently registered NHC students, faculty and staff. CAUTION: The full-text titles available in "InfoTrac" are subject to change due to copyright agreements between the online database and individual periodical publishers.
The following are some brief examples to assist you in reading the individual entries:
YEARS: This line denotes the dates of periodical subscriptions.
| EXAMPLES: | 1985 - indicates that a subscription was started in a particular year and continues to the present 1980 - 1992 // indicates that a subscription begun in a particular year was no longer being received after a certain date. |
LOCATION: This tells you where a periodical may be found in the library.
| EXAMPLES: | magazine stacks orange hanging files (newspapers and tabloid-sized items) reserve (may be found at the Circulation desk. |
MICRO: Some periodicals' back issues are stored on microfilm.
| EXAMPLES: | 1984 - indicates continuous replacement of a title's previous years on microfilm 1988 - 1996// indicates that we no longer receive microfilm after a certain date |
