Katelin Bandarra '06
- Student; On Campus
Once she arrived on campus, she quickly moved from observer to member to leader in many student groups. She became president of a newly-formed student/alumni group during her junior year and president of CAPE, the on-campus cultural programming board, in her senior year. As a CAPE leader she helped plan a spring break trip to Italy and is working on another one, perhaps to Greece.
Katelin worked closely with her professors to develop her academic interests and skills. She excelled as a psychology major, becoming a member of Psi Chi, the national psychology honors society, and Alpha Chi, the national liberal arts honors society.
Working with her professors and advisors, Katelin found a way to combine her commitment to service, academic achievements and profound concern for others into a career: She plans to pursue a doctorate in psychology and eventually become a therapist.
“If there’s anything in the whole school I love the most, it’s the people here,” she says.
