"I am getting more hands-on experience in the classroom."
Peggy Zola has real zeal for working with children.
“My interactions with children on a daily basis are a constant reminder of why I want to be a teacher and why I fell in love with idea of teaching,” she says.
A paraprofessional at a Goffstown preschool, she is enrolled in elementary education at the university’s Manchester Center.

“I am getting more hands-on experience in the classroom,” she says. “Every student in my class prepares a lesson plan and then teaches that lesson plan. I have met some wonderful people and it makes learning that much more interesting and enjoyable.”
She really enjoys her instructors’ passion for teaching.
“My history teacher, John Hayward, walked into our first class dressed in a Civil War costume,” she says. “I was so interested in what he was saying that I learned and retained a lot of information.”
