If you like numbers, people, travel and independence, consider majoring in accounting at Southern New Hampshire University.

SNHU’s program will put you on track for a variety of professional certifications, including certified public accountant (CPA) and certified management accountant (CMA). Demand for these professionals is on the rise.

All types of for-profit and nonprofit organizations find the knowledge and insight provided by skilled and ethical accountants invaluable. Graduates will have knowledge of accounting procedures, regulations and ethics and skills in communication, information technology, teamwork and problem-solving, enabling them to make an immediate contribution in the workplace.

Opportunities for graduates exist in the fields of public accounting, e-commerce, private industry, government, nonprofit institutions and in the international arena. Advancement is limited only by an individual’s desire, initiative and ability.
