Anger

If you are having trouble controlling your anger, chances are you already know it. It can be frightening for both the person expressing raw anger and for the person receiving it. Most of us are taught that expression of anger is bad and tend to avoid responding to feelings. However, anger has other less obvious faces, like chronic grumpiness or irritability, and these can be just as disruptive to our life. One of the tasks of knowing yourself means knowing what makes you mad, when to avoid these things, how to coexist with those feelings, and how in respectful, assertive, productive ways to express what you feel. When relationships suffer or other parts of life are diminished by unmanaged anger, it is a wise decision to get some help; lots can be done to improve this difficulty.
