Conflicts

A great hope of going to college is that family conflicts will come to an end; it usually doesn't happen that way. College life is a time of testing and experimenting with personal values. Values are challenged and changed and that process causes tumult and conflict. Trial and error is the method everyone uses before a belief can become solid. The experiments often put us at odds with family, institutions, and self as powerful pressures to conform exert themselves. If you are stuck it makes sense to get help.
