Grief

Grief is a natural, healing process that comes with a loss. It is a whole series of feelings ranging from sorrow to relief, anger to guilt. The feelings may come separately or all together. They are not always easy to feel, are usually inconvenient, and often don't seem to make sense. The mind and spirit need time to heal, adjusting to the change or loss and the process does not steer a straight course. Everyone must grieve because parents, friends, pets die; relationships end; situations change. For a time we may be separated from a sense of joy, but grieving is a life task. It makes good sense to get support from friends and others. We offer help in sorting through this process.
