Students who are eligible for the SNHU insurance are those new or continuing undergraduate day students who are taking a minimum of 12 credits per semester. All eligible undergraduate domestic students will be charged for the insurance plan offered by the University, until you can show proof of other medical insurance and complete the Health Insurance Waiver Form.

Student Accident & Sickness Insurance Brochure (pdf)

SNHU offers students health insurance at a reasonable cost. It covers partial payment for a variety of illnesses and injuries and is meant to be a supplemental insurance policy. Students who are covered by an HMO are strongly advised to purchase this insurance due to the restrictions and limitations of their HMO (i.e. referrals and emergencies.)

If you have existing insurance coverage, you can choose to waive the SNHU student health insurance by submitting this form by August 1.
