SNHU Welcomes Students at Orientation

Manchester, N.H. (Sept. 1, 2006) – Southern New Hampshire University will welcome 569 new undergraduate day freshman students as well as 139 undergraduate day transfer students to campus during Orientation Weekend, which begins Saturday, Sept. 2.

The university received 3,263 applications this year. Students will come from 25 states, including all the New England states. The university also has accepted an estimated 30 international undergraduate students from such countries as Taiwan, China, India, Vietnam, Peru, Sudan and Sierra Leone.

Saturday, Sept. 2
9 a.m., Resident Student Check-in/Move-In, Athletic Complex -Lobby
2 p.m., President’s Welcome, Athletic Complex - Fieldhouse
2:30 p.m., Family Send Off Reception, Athletic Complex - Small Gym
Sunday, Sept. 3
9 a.m., Breakfast, Student Center Cafeteria
12 p.m., Picnic Lunch & Orientation Group Meeting
Monday, Sept. 4
2:30 p.m., Field Day Competition, Larkin Field
9 p.m., Drive-in Movie, Larkin Field
Tuesday, Sept. 5
10 a.m., Student Employment Orientation, Student Center Cafeteria
1 p.m., Work Study/College Paid Job Fair, Athletic Complex – Field House
