Accounting (M.S.)

The M.S. in accounting curriculum offers concentrated studies in accounting as preparation for qualification as a certified public accountant and for a broader-based study of management related to the application of accounting theory. The M.S. in accounting requires a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 17 graduate courses (3 credits each), determined by a student's undergraduate background in business and undergraduate major.  Students with 6 or more college-level credits in the disciplines of mathematics, economics, and accounting are exempt from "Level I Courses".  Other courses are eligible for exemption or waivers if a student has an undergraduate major or concentration in accounting or accounting/finance.  A list of courses, including those eligible for exemption or waivers, are presented below.
