It’s easy to apply to take Online courses at SNHU. The steps you’ll take depend on whether you’re applying to an undergraduate program, a graduate program or a military program.

Apply to the Undergraduate Program

International Undergraduate Applicants

Those whose native language is not English must provide SNHU with a proof of English proficiency (TOEFL scores) as part of admission requirements. SNHU code is 3649.

  • 530 minimum or better on paper-based TOEFL (equivalent to 6.0 IELTS)
  • 197 minimum or better on computer-based TOEFL
  • 71 minimum or better on internet-based TOEFL

Apply to the Graduate Program

Note: If you have ever completed an application for a graduate program at SNHU, DO NOT complete this application. Please contact our office at 866.860.0449 and speak with Administrative Support.

SNHU’s graduate programs make application decisions on a rolling basis. You may apply at any time, and you’ll most likely get a decision within four weeks of submitting all the materials. Here’s how to apply:

  • Submit the graduate application.
  • Pay the $40 application fee.
  • Submit your undergraduate transcript from the institution where you earned your bachelor’s degree. (If you’ve attended more than one undergraduate institution, we may request those transcripts as well.) Have them sent directly to the SNHU Online office.
Note: If your transcript is not issued in English, please send us its official translation into English.
  • Submit a copy of your resume or employment history.
  • Schedule an interview (optional). Although interviews are not required, it’s a good way to help us get to know you—and for you to start planning your program of study.
  • Explore your financial options. Check with your employer about tuition reimbursement, or find out about grants and loans through SNHU’s financial aid office.
