3Year Honors Program
Created with a challenge and a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the 3Year Honors Program broke the mold for higher education in 1995. This program is a custom-designed, integrated academic experience that is offered over the course of six semesters. You'll save a year's worth of money and time and graduate with a bachelors' degree in business administration.
The only three-year bachelor's degree of its kind at a private university in the U.S. merges business, technology and the liberal arts for a well-rounded university education. No night, weekend or summer courses are required. Students graduate with 120 credits,; the same number as students in a traditional four-year degree program.
At SNHU, we believe the process of learning is more important than seat time. The 3Year Honors Program focuses on 10 competencies: communication, global orientation, teamwork, leadership, information technology, legal and ethical practices, analytical skills, problem-solving, research and strategic approaches. These transferable skills are in high demand by employers.
Purpose
The purpose is to create an environment in which a traditional four-year degree can be delivered in three years.
The program is based on the premise that learning occurs best when the academic objectives are clearly defined, measurable, attainable, and reinforced by the students. This program is designed for students who have the academic background and the desire to succeed in this intense educational environment.
Real-World Perspective
You will apply what you learn every semester to real business challenges. A week at the end of each semester is devoted to "integrating experiences." You'll do a real-world case analysis to demonstrate what you learned throughout the semester. During the third year you'll work as part of a consulting team, developing creative solutions for prominent business clients and dynamic entrepreneurial ventures.
Campus Life
While you'll take classes with one group of students, you'll enjoy campus life with everyone. You can play on teams, join clubs, participate in campus active, become a student leader and more.
"Extra" Time
Once you graduate, you can use that "extra" year to enter the work force (and start earning a salary) before most of your peers, start a business, travel or earn your master's degree. You could graduate from SNHU with your bachelor's and master's degrees in four years.
