Key, Card & Access Violations
Keys, Doors & Locks:
One room key will be issued per student. Keys may not be duplicated nor are they to be given to another person. Students who are assigned to a new room, or withdrawing from the university, must return their original room key and Locknetics (tek) key to a residence life staff member or the office of residence life at the time of check-out. Failure to do so will result in a core change and the corresponding charge to the student’s account. Please see the Office of Residence Life for the full policy.

Misuse of Keys/Unauthorized Access:
Students may not use or possess a university key without proper authorization. Students may never, under any circumstance, have a university key (including their room key) duplicated. Major violation.
University ID Cards:
Students may not lend a university ID card to anyone, nor fail to present an ID card when requested by a university official. Students must carry their ID card whenever they are on campus and outside their residence. Minor violation.
