Traffic Court
If you receive a parking citation and wish to contest it, you must appeal, in writing, on the form provided at the Offices of Public Safety in Belknap Hall within seven business days of the date of the citation. Any appeals after this period may be granted only at the discretion of the director of public safety.
If you appeal and are dissatisfied with the director’s written response, you may then appear before the SNHU traffic court. The traffic court is composed of two students appointed by the Student Government Association and two SNHU Staff members. Court is in session once a month or as the need arises. It has authority to revoke campus driving privileges or impose other sanctions. Its decisions are final. If you fail to appear, the traffic court will rule in your absence, and impose an additional $5 fine.
A quorum consists of two court members.
