BASHA Cooperative Education

Students are hired by partner hotel and resort properties of major American hospitality corporations for a period of eight months. Placement partners have included: Adams Mark, Hyatt, Marriott, and several Starwood brands. Partners provide paid work experiences for BASHA students at locations throughout the United States.

As a component of the orientation program and the American Work Experience class, students will meet with placement partner representatives, and second-year BASHA students (who just completed work placements) to learn of the many cooperative education opportunities available.

Work placement sites are selected annually based upon the quality of the hotel/resort property, the reputation of the partner organization, and location factors that include earnings potential, quality of life and the availability of affordable housing. Many placement properties have been BASHA partners for more than ten years and have BASHA graduates on their management teams.
