This course in fraud examination (sometimes called forensic accounting) is designed to enable accounting and other business students to become knowledgeable in fraud prevention, detection, and investigation. Forensic accounting has been called one of the hottest new careers in accounting and many exciting opportunities are available for those individuals knowledgeable in this area. This course will introduce the student to such areas as introduction to fraud; fraud prevention; fraud detection; fraud investigation; various typed of fraud; and criminal versus civil law. The students will study topics in this course that will help make them better consultants auditors, tax professionals, and managers.
