Because most students will make several career or job changes during their lives, the purpose of this course is to teach students a decision-making process that can be used when making career-related decisions. Throughout the course, students will apply this decision-making process to a decision they are trying to make. Topics will include: self-assessment of interests, values, and skills; how to gather educational and occupational information; exploring decision-making strategies; the lifelong nature of career planning; and planning an effective job search campaign.
