The vision of developing markets for Business Development Services (BDS) has grown out of an emerging new paradigm in the field of small and micro enterprise (SME) development - to improve their performance in developing countries, as a means to achieve higher economic growth and employment, reduce poverty, and meet social objectives. This course is expected to provide insights for developing new BDS interventions to promote more income and employment generating activities for the poor. Main focus of the course is to understand the concepts of the BDS and facilitate a thorough understanding about rationale and strategies to design interventions and lesson learned from past experiences.
