CED 768 - Effective Coop Business Development II

This second course in cooperative business development examines the specifics of building group capacity for effective self-management through the cooperative business development steps. Break-out case studies will track the practical applications of the methodologies in four existing cooperative businesses. Participants will also tour local co-ops to discuss business and capacity development strategies directly with co-op stakeholders. The areas of study in this course include: formation of the steering committee; visioning and strategic planning; effective group decision making; business and capacity development; building infrastructure to support on-going business success.
