HOS 428 - Resort Development and Management
Resort development is becoming an increasingly important part of the hospitality industry. This course familiarizes students with the process of developing a full-scale resort complex from conception to management of the completed project. Various types of resort complexes are studied, including amusement resort complexes, sport resorts of various types and health resorts. The course also looks at the history and evolution of resorts, feasibility and investment analysis and financial analysis of a project. Computer simulations and formal case studies are utilized. Offered as needed.
