This is the capstone course in the AI/ES graduate certificate program. Using expert system shells and/or artificial intelligence programming languages, students conduct a major project by taking a knowledge-based problem from conceptualization to design, then to knowledge engineering, and finally to software development and implementation. Students examine the latest developments in the field, such as genetic algorithms, case-based reasoning, fuzzy logic, intelligent agents and neural networks.
