This course is an introduction to curriculum, instruction and assessment for teaching content in grades 4 - 8. Using social studies education as a context, this course investigates learning from a developmental perspective. The course will also examine the learning needs of middle school students and methods of curriculum integration in grades 4 - 8. TCP acceptance is required.
