Meet the Admission Team

During the fall, our staff travels extensively attending college fairs and visiting high schools to meet with students and guidance counselors. We hope to see you "on the road"! Julie Hautanen: Admission Counselor
A 2004 graduate of Southern New Hampshire University Julie is new to our staff this year. Her territory includes Connecticut (except Fairfield County), the Albany, New York area, Rhode Island, parts of PA, as well as selected schools in Merrimack County, the White Mountains and the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
Sam Mahra: Senior Assistant Director of Admission/Culinary Coordinator
A 2001 graduate of the University of New Hampshire; Sam is responsible for culinary student recruitment. Sam's assigned territory includes select high schools in New England with culinary programs. Sam has been with the University since June of 2006.
Kibar Moussoba: Graduate Assistant/Admission Representative
A 2006 graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, Kibar’s assigned recruitment territories include Western Massachusetts and New Hampshire’s Seacoast and Monadnock/Lake Sunapee area. He also works closely with our tour guide program and is the admission office “techie”.
Kierstin Newcombe: Admission Counselor
A 2006 graduate of the University of Vermont, Kierstin’s assigned recruitment territories include the majority of Connecticut and the state of Rhode Island. She is also responsible for our Summer Information Sessions and has just started her second year with the admission staff.
Bethany Perkins: Admission Counselor
A 2006 graduate of Georgia Southern University, Bethany has just joined the SNHU admission staff this summer. She will be working with both freshman and transfer students and is waiting to hear where her fall travels will take her!
Joseph Rivera: Admission Counselor
A 2007 graduate of Tufts University, Joe has just joined the SNHU admission staff this summer. Joe’s territory includes New York (Rockland & Westchester counties, and Long Island), parts of New Jersey, the greater Boston, MA area and Fairfield County, CT.
Jill Teeters: Associate Director of Admission/Transfer Coordinator
A 1992 graduate of Ithaca College; Jill's assigned territory includes the New Hampshire White Mountains and Lakes regions for freshman applicants. Jill oversees the transfer admission process, coordinates our admission marketing and communication effort and is responsible for our annual Accepted Student programs each spring. She has been with the university since July of 1998.
