This is a 20-person cohort program starting in September each year. Qualified students possess a bachelors degree in accounting or business and 2 years of practical business experience.

Dates
Cohort starting date:  September 2008 (for the first of four required courses). 
The additional three courses will be offered in sequence starting in January 2009 for a total 1 year.

Class Participation

  • Classes meet one Friday per month (plus an occasional Saturday) each term from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm in Webster 111.
  • The course syllabus will be available approximately 30 days before the first class meeting and can be obtained by e-mailing r.hanson@snhu.edu.
  • Each meeting has assignments that are required to be passed in
  • It is critical that all participants review and prepare the assignments before class.
  • All information submitted must be completed using Word and/or Excel.

Academic Credit and/or CPE's
Each participant successfully completing each course will receive 3 graduate credits and/or an appropriate amount of continuing professional education (CPE) credits.

Acceptance Policy
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor degree in accounting or business, and two years of practical business experience

    Faculty
    All faculty will possess appropriate professional credentials, such as the Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) and/or the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials.  Additionally, all faculty will possess a significant amount of practical experience in the subject areas.

    Costs for the Forensic Accounting Certificate

    • $ 2,000 per course includes all books, reference materials, lunches, and refreshments.  Many handouts will be distributed from various sources and will become an integral part of the course content.
    • Because the class size is limited to 20 participants, an acceptance letter will be sent to qualified applicants, and a $300 non-refundable deposit must be received within 30 days of acceptance.
