U.S. Economy and Competitiveness Presentation

John Duncan, director of the Office of Policy and Strategic Planning for the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, will speak at Southern New Hampshire University on Friday, March 10.

Duncan will present the university with a Certificate of Appreciation for Achievement in Trade from the U.S. Department of Commerce in recognition of the university's work to help New Hampshire compete in the global economy. The department notes the university's international business degree offerings and its collaboration with the New Hampshire International Trade Resource Center.

Dunca then will speak about the “State of U.S. Economy and U.S. Competitiveness Initiatives," during which he will discuss newly released February job numbers and President' Bush's Competitiveness Initiative.

The event will be held at 10 a.m. in the Mara Lecture Hall in Webster Hall. Staff, faculty and students are welcome; the event is open to the public.

Sponsored by the Institute for International Business at Southern New Hampshire University, the International Business Association and the U.S. Commercial Services Department of Commerce.
