SNHU Announces an Educational Cooperation Agreement
With Trinity International Hospitality Studies

Manchester, N.H. (March 20, 2006) – Southern New Hampshire University has signed an Educational Cooperation agreement with Trinity International Hospitality Studies of Crete, Greece.

Under terms of the agreement, faculty exchange and collaboration for teaching and research as well as reciprocal student exchanges will be promoted. The agreement also allows for full transfer of credits from one institution to another.

“SNHU is a leader in hospitality studies in our state and Trinity is a new dynamic school supported by the Terra Maris hotel chain in Greece,” said Jorge Garcia, SNHU’s associate vice president of international affairs. “Our hospitality students will have the opportunity to spend a semester and work on paid internships at the Trinity campus located on the beautiful beaches of the Cretan Sea and we will receive Greek students on our campus. This new association will enhance SNHU’s international profile and its commitment to continue enriching the cultural diversity of the state.”

The agreement enables SNHU students to transfer study abroad credits they have accumulated at Trinity to SNHU, and complete the required number of credits for graduation and vice versa. Trinity students will also be able to enroll in our BASHA program, and be admitted to graduate studies at SNHU.

SNHU is one of only 32 institutions in the entire country to earn accreditation from the prestigious Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration. It is now the only regional institution to hold both ACPHA and American Culinary Federation accreditations.
