Leadership Student Hosts Autism Awareness Day

A participant in a Southern New Hampshire University leadership series is hosting an Autism Awareness Day on Wednesday, April 19, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the hospital's cafeteria. It is designed to educate community members about autism and to provide parents, family members, teachers and students with information and resources.

Organizer Karen Matte, whose child has autism, participated in SNHU’s Advanced Leadership Series in Community Economic Development & Disability, sponsored by the UNH Institute on Disability. The series is designed to help participants improve the social and economic participation of citizens with disabilities.
