CLEP Testing at SNHU

CLEP exams are held in the Shapiro Library at 1:00 PM. on the third Friday of every month with the exception of September and October. (Beginning with the July 2008 exam the time will change to 10:00 AM.)

The CLEP Registration/Admission Form on page 16 of the Information for CLEP Candidates (PDF 316 kb) is due in the Office of the Registrar by 4:00 PM on the first day of each month of your preferred CLEP test date. Applications are accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. You will receive an e-mail confirmation for your test date.

Complete one application for each exam that you wish to take. Only one CLEP exam may be taken per test date. A non-refundable administration fee payable to SNHU in the amount of $15 for each exam, and an exam fee payable to CLEP of $65 (the CLEP exam fee will increase to $70.00 beginning with the July 2008 exam) for each exam must be sent with the application. CLEP exam.Optional Essays are an additional $10 which must be submitted on a separate check or charged separately.

If you want to send your scores to a college, employer, or certifying agency, you must select this option through the examination software on the day of the exam.  This service is free of charge only if you select your score recipient at the time you test.

Applications that arrive in the Office of the Registrar without a separate payment for the $15 service fee and the $65 exam fee will be returned to the student, and a reservation for the preferred exam date will not be made.

Students should check with their advisors to be sure that the exam they intend to take will fulfil one of their required classes; SNHU DANTES and CLEP Credit Equivalencies.
