CLEP exams are held in the Shapiro Library on the Manchester campus at 10:00 AM on the third Friday of every month with the exception of September and October when no CLEP tests are proctored.
The CLEP Registration/Admission Form on page 16 of the Information for CLEP Candidates (PDF 316 kb) is due in the Office of the Registrar by 4 PM on the first day of each month of your preferred CLEP test date. Applications are accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. You will receive an email confirmation for your test date during the first week of the month selected.
Complete one application for each exam that you wish to take. Only one CLEP exam may be taken per test date. A non-refundable administration fee payable to SNHU in the amount of $25 for each exam, and an exam fee payable to CLEP of $80 for each exam must be sent with the application. Optional Essays are an additional $10 which must be submitted with a separate check for CLEP Services.
If you want to send your scores to a college, employer, or certifying agency, you must select this option through the examination software on the day of the exam. This service is free of charge only if you select your score recipient at the time you test.
Applications that arrive in the Office of the Registrar without a separate payment for the $25 administrative fee and the $80 exam fee will be returned to the student, and a reservation for the preferred exam date will not be made.
Students should check with their advisors to be sure that the exam they intend to take will fulfill one of their required classes; SNHU DANTES and CLEP Credit Equivalencies.
SNHU offers all CLEP exams except for French, German and Spanish.
