Dellea-Messner Earns NE-10 All-Academic Honors
MANCHESTER, N.H. - Southern New Hampshire University women's cross country team member Svea Dellea-Messner (Windham, NH) has been honored for her hard work on the cross country course and in the classroom by being named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Academic team.
In order to be eligible for selection, a player must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing, be a starter or important reserve and have maintained at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average.
Dellea-Messner was SNHU's top runner in all seven races this fall. She posted a personal-best time of 21:10 at the New England Championship at Boston's Franklin Park, which ranks as the 14th fastest time in program history. A 2005 graduate of Salem High School, she also recorded the 20th fastest time in program history (21:18) and placed 55th out of 135 runners at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. She also came in 23rd out of 239 runners at the Gordon College Pop Crowell Invitational with a time of 21:19. An English Education major, she he has maintained a 3.88 cumulative grade point average and has been named to SNHU's President's List in each of her two semesters.
