Diana H. Polley received her Ph.D. in American Literature from the CUNY Graduate Center in 2005. Her research interests include nineteenth-century American literature, theory, and the novel; at SNHU, she teaches American literature from its beginnings through the early twentieth century. She has presented and published on various nineteenth-century American authors, and she is currently working on a book examining the relationship between Ralph Waldo Emerson and the authors of American Realism.
