Paul A. Barresi is a political scientist and environmental lawyer whose teaching and research focus on how legal and political institutions and cultures constrain the ability of human societies to achieve environmentally progressive public policy goals. He formerly practiced environmental law at Goodwin, Procter & Hoar, a leading Boston law firm. He has been a Ford Foundation Fellow in Public International Law, and a visiting legal scholar at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization.
