SNHU Club Day

Club Day is an opportunity for new and returning students to meet the more than fifty student clubs and organizations on-campus. Club Day takes place at the beginning of the fall and spring semester. The 2009-2010 dates are:

  • Wednesday, September 16, 2009 in the Fieldhouse
  • Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in the Small Gym

Club Information
All Clubs are given a table and two chairs as part of their recognition and are required to attend. Organizations are encouraged to bring any literature including pamphlets, brochures and fliers as well as sign-up sheets to gather names and e-mails of students who are interested in learning more or attending a meeting. Other items that groups are encouraged to bring if they have them are scrapbooks, photo albums, banners, signs etc. Clubs may also bring items to giveaway to students which commonly have the name/logo of the group, year and if possible date and times of meetings or events.

Requirements

  • If you need a plug outlet or would like to request a specific placement in the room make sure to send your request to leadership@snhu.edu no later than two weeks before Club Day
  • The Office of Campus Programming and Leadership or Athletics does not provide extension cords so please plan accordingly.
  • Set-up is at least a half-hour before the event

Potential New Clubs
Those interested in starting a new club may request permission through the Office of Campus Programming and Leadership to have a section of the potential new club table to promote their group and start gathering members for recognition.

Non-Recognized Groups
Many groups on-campus who do not fit into traditional volunteer work or paid student work (student payroll or work-study) do not have a day that they can promote their leadership opportunities to a large group of new and returning students. Club Day will be open to departmental groups who give students an opportunity to expand their skills in the area of leadership, teamwork, mentorship and more.

Requests to Attend
Non-recognized groups wishing to attend Club Day must send a written request to leadership@snhu.edu at least one month prior to the event date. Requests will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups must specify if they have any special requirements, a maximum of a table and two chairs will be provided additional requests may be made for plug outlets and room placement. However, University Recognized Clubs will have the first choice as to placement and plug-outlets.

Requirements for Non-Recognized Groups

  • Must not have any other major way of promoting the organization such as the Involvement or Job Fairs. 
  • At least one student involved with the group must be present at the table at Club Day. 
  • The office and Athletics does not supply extension cords, if you need them you must supply your own.
  • Set-up is at least a half-hour before doors open.
