Three Southern New Hampshire University alumni made the New Hampshire Union Leader’s annual “40 Under Forty” list in January.

The list honors people under the age of 40 who are “making a difference in New Hampshire.”

The SNHU graduates being honored this year are Nasir Abdi Arush, Wendy Lee Parker and Seth Wall.

Arush, a native of Somalia, came to SNHU in 2000. He is the deputy director of the New Hampshire Somali Development Center, which helps Somali refugees find jobs and get established in Manchester and other parts of the state. He holds a master’s degree in international community economic development, an M.B.A. and a graduate certificate in accounting from SNHU.

Parker is assistant executive director for risk services at the New Hampshire Local Government Center. She is involved with the American Red Cross Concord Area, Lakes Region and North Country, the New Hampshire Citizens Health Initiative and the Henniker Rotary Club.  She was one of nine people from the U.S. and Canada to be selected for the 2006 Fellowship Exchange Program with Japan. She earned her M.S. in organizational leadership, a graduate certificate in human resources management, a B.S. in business administration and an A.S. in accounting at SNHU.

Wall is executive director of the Manchester campus of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He also is an adjunct instructor at SNHU. He formerly was senior mayoral assistant to former Manchester Mayor Robert Baines, who now is SNHU’s executive-in-residence. Wall sits on the university’s alumni board, the Palace Theatre advisory board and the Fisher Cats Young Professionals Advisory Committee. Wall earned his M.B.A. and an M.S. in international business at SNHU.
