Southern New Hampshire University and the New Hampshire Community Technical College in Nashua have partnered to offer more options to information technology students.

“We're quite happy to have formed this partnership with NHCTC-Nashua. It's all about the students and what's best for the students, and this partnership is right on the money in that regard,” said SNHU IT Chair Lundy Lewis.

Under the agreement, SNHU students can use their electives to take NHCTC courses in fiber optics technology that can lead to an educational certificate. Also, NHCTC students with associate degrees in computer science can earn a bachelor’s degree in information technology at SNHU by taking only six or fewer IT courses in addition to required bachelor’s degree courses. Students also may earn course credit for internships coordinated through SNHU’s Career Development Office.

“I believe this agreement with SNHU is a win for our students. It will allow our students to integrate the traditional IT skills taught at NHCTC with other disciplines and prepare them to be more competitive among the next generation of IT professionals,” said Sue de Steuben, Chair of the NHCTC Computer Science Department.
