Bradley Hibbard, a former Massachusetts State Police deputy superintendent/lieutenant colonel, has joined Southern New Hampshire University's justice studies program as an adjunct faculty member.

Hibbard, who holds a master’s degree in criminal justice from Anna Maria College, served as an instructor, executive officer and commandant of the Massachusetts State Police Academy. He was responsible for the development of the MSP Online Academy, which continues to provide online training for state, local and college law enforcement personnel. These experiences are complemented by his current position as director of State and Local Consulting for CTC Inc., Public Safety Technology Center. In this position, Hibbard has been involved with the development of the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Technology & Training Support Center, state and local consulting, research on the integration of community policing into the homeland security mission and the statewide assessment of homeland security “all-hazards” preparedness.

Hibbard is scheduled to serve as the online instructor for JUS 600 Police in the American Experience, to be offered through SNHU Online in April.

Hibbard joins former Massachusetts State Police Superintendent/Colonel and current Massachusetts Governor's Council member Thomas Foley as a justice studies adjunct faculty member. Dennis McManus, current clerk magistrate of Worcester County, Mass., also serves as an adjunct faculty member for the program.

The justice studies program offers a residential Bachelor of Science degree with classes starting in fall 2007. The online Master of Science program begins in April with JUS 600. The justice studies program has seen a tremendous interest resulting in one of the largest applicant pools at the university.
